We are currently seeking a Planning Manager in DRACUT, MA.
As a (an) Planning Manager your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:
Responsibilities:
Management:
Manage the Planning department.
Produce reports based on findings and performance of production.
Compile status and performance reports for submission to management in a timely manner.
Track key metrics, identify trends, and propose corrective actions to protect production plan.
Work with quality assurance, logistics and other personnel.
Identify ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Monitor costs to ensure production process stays within budget.
Scheduling:
Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production of company's products & systems.
Create production schedules based on demand projections to meet consumer demands.
Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels.
Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortage or bottlenecks in usage.
Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production.
Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
Conduct a periodic audit of production WIP and ensure set targets are achieved.
Report production status and any issues to upper management.
Inventory Management:
Maintain inventory of all materials.
Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory.
Manage and reduce inventory by deploying Kanban, consign & vendor-manage inventory.
Evaluate raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place to support production plan.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree10+ years' experience in buying and planning in a manufacturing environmentExperience in effectively evaluating suppliers 3
