We are currently seeking a Tack Welder in Dracut, MA As a (an) Tack Welder your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:
Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process, including weld requirement symbology.
Work with stainless steel only.
Set up and calibrate power supply with the correct welding program.
Perform tack welds.
Maintain regular checks on welding equipment ensuring that machines are operating properly.
Work towards Dakota welder certification training.
Plan work and selects proper tools working within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.
Manipulate parts to match print and dimensional specifications.
Complete parts to acceptable standards ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate tack welding techniques.
Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for stainless steel material.
Work with conventional and precision measuring instruments.
May conduct process and peer inspection.
May perform limited E/M assembly.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma from a Technical HS2
years of related experience Essential Skills and Attitudes Required:
English verbal and written communication skills.
